THE POSITION

Dimensional control surveyor verifies the overall design of each structure aligns. Structures must fit together seamlessly. Dimensional surveyor verify tolerances and clearances, preventing clashes during assembly.

YOUR IMPACT

As Dimensional Control Surveyor, you check major components at the manufacturer whether they are fit for purpose.

• As Dimensional Control Surveyor you work on specific geometric tasks to provide data to colleagues within the team about the state of components, for typically in Wind Farms (Mono Piles, Secondary Steel components, Jackets, etc.);
• You work well together in a small team but can also work independently;
• Ensure geometrical conformity as a key aspect of quality control throughout the production process;
• You also give your advice on creative solutions with significant complexity for the tender and/or execution phase of our projects;
• Picks up improvements independently and implements changes after approval in our own systems;
• Acts as advisor to senior internal stakeholders and management on assigned scope.

YOUR WORKPLACE

You will be part of Van Oord’s Survey department and typically working in de office, on project site or manufacturing premises, and your primary focus is on using your technical expertise to provide others with the information they need and challenge stakeholders in their decision making and ensure a safe and (cost) efficient project execution.

ABOUT YOU

With your depth of knowledge of survey methods and techniques, improves existing standards, and is recognized as a Survey authority within Van Oord.

•  Bachelor's or Master's degree in geodesy or similar;
• You are an analytical and accurate worker;
• You are flexible in your deployment to adapt to the production process;
• Excellent command of the English language;
• Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings will be an advantage;
• Good communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team.
