Are you ready to become our new specialist in all phases of pipeline and subsea rock installation projects? Explore the exciting opportunity to join our Subsea Engineering Department as a Senior Subsea Engineer.
The Position
We are seeking a Senior Subsea Engineer to join our dynamic and diverse team of 20 engineers, supporting tenders and projects within our Business Unit Offshore Energy. In this role, you will be responsible for the installation analysis of HDPE pipelines, shore pulls of steel pipelines and the design of subsea rock structures, such as scour protection for offshore wind farms and the protection of subsea pipelines and cables. Our growing expertise also includes the development of innovative eco-design solutions for these rock structures.
As a key specialist within the tender and project teams, you will collaborate closely with tender management, cost estimating, operations, and other engineering disciplines to identify optimal installation methods. You will also mentor and support Junior Subsea Engineers by reviewing their work and guiding their professional development.
Your Impact
As a Senior Subsea Engineer, you will:
- Handle design and installation aspects of international projects from FEED to tender phase, through to execution.
- Develop safe and efficient installation methods.
- Create innovative solutions.
- Mentor and support Junior Engineers.
- Develop and update in-house engineering software tools.
- Manage assignments with specialized consultancy firms.
- Gather and share lessons learned.
Your Workplace
As a Senior Subsea Engineer in the Subsea Engineering Department, you'll join a dynamic team of 20 subsea engineers. Our team is a mix of youthful energy and seasoned expertise, with senior engineers who have successfully led projects worldwide. While our home base is in Gorinchem, you also have the flexibility to work from our Rotterdam office or from home.
About You
You have the ability to translate complex matters into understandable insights. You see a challenge in project dynamics, related deadlines and you have strong communicative skills. Next to that:
- A Master’s degree in Offshore or Coastal Engineering or equivalent.
- Minimum 5 years of relevant working experience.
- Excellent command of the English language.
- Affinity with (Python) programming and/or Orcaflex is an advantage.
- You are available for min. 32 hours per week
