Description & Requirements

THE POSITION

You report functionally into the Manager of Talent & Learning within the HR organization and hierarchically into the Founding the Future programme. In this seniorlevel role you lead complex change initiatives across Van Oord, together with various project teams and business owners. You bring structure, thoroughness and a human touch to transformations in processes, systems, roles, behaviours and culture.

YOUR IMPACT 

You are responsible for the peopleside of change and driving the effectiveness of change management across Founding the Future projects or programs within the Van Oord organization. 

You will:

  • Develop and implement change strategies based on methods such as Prosci/ADKAR
  • Translate change strategies into a practical blueprint and toolkit for projects to apply
  • Identify key stakeholders, assess change impact, evaluate readiness and manage resistance
  • Define success metrics, monitor progress, and steer corrective actions on the change roadmap with project teams and business owners
  • Design and oversee communication, training and interaction plans in collaboration with senior leadership
  • Understand business complexities impacted by change and validate if these require additional actions.
  • Coach senior leaders and colleagues to fulfil their roles and lead teams through change
  • Lead, mentor and coordinate 

You operate at a strategic level yet stay connected to day‑to‑day change execution. You bring people along, maximize adoption and help realize return on investment.


YOUR WORKPLACE

You will be part of the HR organization (approx.130 FTE), embedded in a highenergy, collaborative environment. You work closely with HR, project leads, senior management and external change partners. In your hierarchical role you feed directly into the Founding the Future transformation programme. You enjoy autonomy, influence, and the opportunity to shape largescale change across Van Oord.

ABOUT YOU

  • A degree in HR, Organizational Development, Business Administration or related field 
  • A minimum of 8-10 years of experience in change management, organizational transformation or HR program leadership
  • Certified in change management methodologies (e.g., Prosci, ADKAR)
  • Strong understanding of leadership, organizational design and system implementation
  • Proficient in project management tools and reporting on change metrics
  • Empathetic and human-centered, able to guide teams through complex transitions
  • Proficient in Dutch and English
