THE POSITION

You will join our global Compensation & Benefits team as the lead expert for health and absence management. This role ensures that our policies, processes and partnerships around sickness absence are consistent, clear, compliant and human. You will manage several external service providers responsible for absence and reintegration, coordinate all documentation, and align communication across the company and our occupational health care providers.

This position contributes directly to Van Oord’s long-term HR strategy and supports our ambition to create a healthy and resilient organisation. You will also play an active role in preventive health projects and create alignment with our collective health insurer.

YOUR IMPACT

In this role, you will:

• Manage relationships with three external partners providing absence and reintegration services
• Ensure compliance, documentation and accurate administration of all sickness-related cases
• Develop and maintain clear communication structures and training for managers
• Drive prevention-focused initiatives that reduce absence and enhance employee well-being

 Your expertise will empower our managers to make informed, confident decisions and contribute to a stronger, healthier workforce.

You will be part of our global Compensation & Benefits team, a dedicated group of 18 specialists within the HR department. ABOUT YOU

You hold a Bachelor's or master’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Organizational Psychology, or a related field,   and relevant experience in an international C&B environment. 

You are also accurate, naturally curious, enthusiastic, and able to work within a team as well as  independently. Proficiency in the English language, both orally and in writing, is a must.
