THE POSITION
Within a team of about 20 engineers you will perform installation analyses to ensure the integrity of subsea assets and pipelines while optimizing the workability of our equipment. With the tender and project teams you will search for the preferred installation method. You will work in close cooperation with tender management, cost estimating and other engineering disciplines during tender stage and work as project team member during the execution phase.
YOUR IMPACT
Optimizing the workability of the equipment for pipeline installation, you will be:
- Involved in the design and installation aspects of international projects from tender phase to execution.
- Developing safe, efficient and innovative workability enhancing solutions for our pipelay vessels
- In close cooperation with different (project) teams on operational aspects and work methods
- Contributing to the development of in-house calculation tools.
YOUR WORKPLACE
As a pipeline installation engineer you will be working in a team of 5 engineers based in Dubai. It is a young team of engineers guided by seniors that have been involved in project preparation and execution. The work takes place both in the Dubai office, project offices and offshore.
ABOUT YOU
You like being in a culture where sharing ideas and helping out your colleagues is driving improvement. You are a flexible and social person who also has strong analytical skills. Interacting with different people within the company and changing your communication style accordingly gives you lots of energy. In addition, you have:
- MSc degree in Offshore, Maritime, Mechanical Engineering or similar
- Programming skills (preferably Python)
- Affinity with specialized software such as Orca Flex.
- Willingness to travel abroad to follow up on the installation
