Description & Requirements

YOUR IMPACT

In this position you maintain the Offshore Energy Lifting & Rigging stock on the projects and at the storage yards. You manage the timely inspection, (re)certification and handling of the equipment with assistance of subcontractors. Also, you do the verification of incoming materials against the purchase order and report any discrepancy. You arrange the transportation from and to projects and storage yards. Next to this, you are also responsible for:

  • Ensure the Lifting & Rigging equipment is properly conditioned;
  • Monitor, inspect and register purchased, rented and owned Lifting & Rigging equipment, while being the point of contact for project teams for information on tracking and tracing of Lifting Equipment;
  • Perform (and or arrange) a material reconciliation of all Lifting & Rigging Equipment upon completion of projects while ensuring storage, disposal and/or return of Lifting & Rigging equipment to storage yard;
  • Pro-actively identify and introduce opportunities for improvement;
  • Setting up work flow & internal rigging warehouse processes. 

In the role of Asset Coordinator Lifting & Rigging Equipment, you are partially based at the Gorinchem office,  mainly at our subcontractor storage yard in Rotterdam and sometimes at project sites during mobilization and de-mobilization. As part of the Transport & Installation Unit, you will report to the Asset Manager Lifting & Rigging and working closely with Offshore Energy project teams and Van Oord logistics/purchasing colleagues.

ABOUT YOU

As a person, you are capable to cope with stress and have the capacity to work methodically, but above all you are a team player with excellent communication skills. 
 
 You also bring: 

  • A completed intermediate vocational (MBO/HBO) education in the disciplines of logistics and supply chain;
  • At least 5 years’ experience with SAP Business, Warehouse Management Systems and / or IPS Star;
  • Ability to work , occasionally, in an international project environment;
  • Familiarity with logistics-related matters such as trade and customs compliance, import/export duties and Inco terms;
  • Excellent communication (Dutch & English) and social skills.
