The position

Are you a driven and talented individual currently pursuing an IT study? We at Van Oord, a leading global maritime contractor, offer a challenging internship in our IT Service Desk department!

You will be the first point of contact for all Van Oord employees regarding IT-related complaints, requests, information, and malfunctions. You will gain a unique experience in problem-solving and providing support to our global team. 

Your responsibilities

Your responsibilities include:

• Keeping colleagues informed about the progress of reported issues and providing timely solutions;
• Handling intake, registration, and resolution of reported issues for first-line support;
• Analyzing and solving more complex IT problems for second-line support;
• Providing support in person at our counter, via phone and online channels, at project locations, or even on board one of our ships.

Job requirements

You are communicatively skilled and have a proactive attitude. Furthermore:

• You are pursuing an IT management-related study;
• You are proficient in both Dutch and English;
• You are familiar with IT frameworks such as ITIL and Agile;
• You reside in or around Rotterdam or Gorinchem;
• You are skilled in Microsoft Windows and the Microsoft 365 platform;
• You have a general knowledge of networks and cloud solutions.
