THE POSITION

In the role of Junior Project Procurement Officer you are responsible for the procurement of subcontract and supply packages for Infrastructural projects mainly in the Netherlands. You are involved in all phases of the project: preparation and execution. Important is that you take responsibility for the entire procurement process with the aim of ensuring the quality of the delivery of services, products and risks. You need to be a team player and work together with many internal and external stakeholders.

YOUR IMPACT

 

  • You are the point of contact for project engineers and project management, suppliers, subcontractors and internal departments for the procurement and supply chain;
  • Request offers from the market, prepare bid comparisons;
  • Negotiate packages and compile and draft agreements and contracts; 
  • Preparing procurement packages in collaboration with the tender and project teams, receiving and evaluating offers, advising on the best and most reliable offer and negotiating and preparing downstream contracts; 
  • You have a keen interest in sustainable and Zero Emission solutions and circular/ re-use of materials. 
  • Guiding and monitoring subcontractors and suppliers on both a commercial/financial and operational level; 
  • Reporting on the procurement results and achieving objectives; 
  • Maintaining procurement status overviews to proactively inform stakeholders; 
  • Securing synergies with other tenders and projects and investigating the possibilities of including certain purchasing packages in framework agreements; 
  • Pre-qualification and evaluating of suppliers, contractors. 

ABOUT YOU

  • A completed Bachelor or Master in Civil Engineering; 
  • 2+ years of experience in the field of tactical project procurement, preferably gained on infrastructural projects; 
  • Strong affinity with technology, commerce and infrastructure market; 
  • Knowledge of the Dutch and English language in word and writing; 
  • Excellent communication skills (including listening), positively critical, flexible but still being firm when necessary, we see as self-evident character traits; 
  • Work with ERP systems to enter signed contracts as well as financial milestones and obligations 
  • In addition, a dose of guts and curiosity, a practical attitude and the interest in continuous learning and improvement; 
  • Willingness to travel to projects.
