THE POSITION

Are you a bachelor’s student with a passion for IT, projects, and details? Then this is your opportunity to gain valuable experience within an innovative and collaborative organization! As an IT intern in the field of QHSE (Quality, Health, Safety, Environment), you will join the QHSE Systems team to investigate and implement possibilities to use BI tools in order to improve efficiency, effectiveness, and gain better insights.

YOUR IMPACT

During your internship, you will contribute to improving internal processes by leveraging technology. You will support the QHSE team in analysing data and optimizing work methods using tools like Power BI, Power Apps, and Power Automate.

YOUR WORKPLACE

You will be working from our head office in Rotterdam and will become part of a team of approximately six people. In this role, you will contribute to the development, implementation, and maintenance of quality managements systems to ensure that our products and services meet the high standards and expectations of our clients. The management system plays a crucial role as a key link between all business processes within Van Oord. Lately, we have also been exploring how AI can strengthen our management system, which opens exciting new opportunities for innovation and data-driven decision making. At the same time, you will have the opportunity to work on your school assignments, with the necessary guidance and support.  

ABOUT YOU

You are eager to learn, self-motivated, and take initiative. You’re have a keen eye for detail and enjoy turning ideas into tangible results. Additionally, you:

• You are currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s or Master’s program in Information Technology or a related field
• You are available from September 2025 for 6 months
• You are experienced with Power Bi, Power Apps and Power Automate
