You will actively participate in tenders for Dutch projects in the field of dyke reinforcement, quay walls, ports and multidisciplinary infrastructure works, the Afsluitdijk and the HWPB dyke reinforcement projects. Important projects for a water country like the Netherlands. In the Dutch market, the most economically advantageous tender (MEAT) is often the decisive factor. Furthermore, you’ll help with the strategy for tenders in other markets. Together with the tender team you analyse the customer's request by organising and facilitating strategic sessions. You’re capable to see our solutions thru the client lens. You know how to translate the tender strategy to a winning bid where technical solutions are brought back to comprehensible measures.

You are part of an enthusiastic and committed tender strategy team, where we help and strengthen each other. Van Oord tenders for projects in various sizes worldwide. As part of the tender team, you’re the one who knows how to highlight the added value of Van Oord. You like working in a technical environment and taking complex matters head on. You’ll work in varying tender teams consisting of expert from Van Oord, external advisors and partners.

In the tender strategy team, we continue to learn from each other, challenge one another and help each other to continually improve the tender process. You will write MEAT-bids (In Dutch known as EMVI or BPKV) but also review the written plans of your colleagues. Van Oord is an internationally oriented, family owned, company where people come first. About you

You are a skilled writer who enjoys setting their teeth into technical topics and gather information and knowledge. You get energized when working with groups and like leading workshops. You are curious, critical, creative, a good listener and quick at connecting people and ideas. You take a central and coordinating role in the EMVI process, seeing the bigger picture while keeping an eye for details. 

• You have an affinity with (maritime) infrastructure.
• You have demonstrable experience with writing, tender strategy and/or EMVI.
• You have excellent command of the Dutch language, both written and spoken.
• Your working and thinking level is at a bachelors or masters level;
• You have an availability of at least 4 days a week.
