THE POSITION
In the role of Talent Management Specialist you will focus on the identification, development and succession planning of Talent and Leadership within Van Oord, fully aligned with our company strategy to build a future-proof organization.
You will contribute to the Talent Management Strategy, translate it into processes, programs and tools, and ensure successful implementation in collaboration with the HR advisors and managers across the business. Strategic design and internal monitoring are essential parts of this role.
YOUR IMPACT
You advise managers and HR advisors on a wide range of Talent Management topics, including succession management. As a specialist, you detect both the immediate and future talent needs of the organization. This input will be used to design and implement programs, under the supervision of the Head of Talent and Learning and in close collaboration with stakeholders throughout Van Oord.
You will take part in and/or lead key activities such as the HR Cycle, talent reviews, succession planning and onboarding processes. Furthermore, you will:
- Contribute to the annual talent development plan, the development of policies, procedures and tools
- Develop and implement talent- and succession management processes, programs and tools to strengthen a future proof organization, in collaboration with HR Business Partners and managers
- Provide talent and succession management analytics and dashboards, offering insights and strategic recommendations based on HR data
- Advise supervisors, managers and HR Business Partners on talent management and succession management topics
- Professionalize and innovate talent and succession management by integrating the latest trends and introducing new insights and tools
YOUR WORKPLACE
As a key member of the Talent Development team, you will work closely with other HR colleagues and a wide range of internal stakeholders across the organization. We are looking for a proactive team player who dares to influence change, takes initiative to drive results, and creates meaningful impact. You will report directly to the Head of Talent and Learning.
ABOUT YOU
In the role of Talent Management specialist within Van Oord it is essential that you have experience with working in international organizations or in HR consultancy.
Furthermore you have:
- A Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in organizational psychology, human sciences, business administration, or similar to this
- Minimum of 7 years relevant work experience, including at least 3 years in the field of talent management
- A proven ability to translate talent and succession strategies into tangible processes and programs, and implement them in close collaboration with HR and business stakeholders
- A data-driven mindset, with experience using analytics to support and improve talent and succession management initiatives
- Proficiency in English; Dutch language skills are a plus
